I am a graduate student at Yorkville University practicing under the supervision of Tymarah Cholewa.

I bring a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to my practice that is grounded in evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and humanistic modalities. Through active listening and proven approaches, I am dedicated to supporting clients on their path to well-being.

In addition to working with adults, I have a keen interest in supporting youth. I strive to create a nurturing environment where clients of all ages can openly explore and express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I collaborate closely with clients to recognize their strengths, set meaningful goals, and apply evidence-based strategies for positive transformation.

My commitment is to cultivate an empowering space where clients feel supported in their journey of self-discovery and personal growth. My goal is to create a warm and inviting environment where clients feel safe to authentically express themselves, supported by my own understanding of the bravery and courage required to seek therapy.

Linnea earned her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. She takes a person-centred approach, which is empathetic and collaborative in nature and de-centres the counsellor as “the expert”. She is also largely influenced by a number of other theories, including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She strives to maintain a space that is anti-oppressive and culturally-sensitive; a space that honours individuals’ multiple intersecting identities so that they’re able to show up as themselves and feel “safe-enough” within the therapeutic setting.

Areas of concern she has experience working with includes trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, and body image concerns. As someone of lived experience with trauma, she is passionate about providing support for others in coping with trauma. She is intimately familiar with the profound impact that trauma can have on one’s life, and also what it’s like to be on a healing path. Her experiences have lent themselves to her work, and she feels honoured and privileged to now be able to help guide others in their healing.
